Easter, Family Visit, 2 month chunk!
Brooks: 2 Weeks - 1 Month
And we start with Dylan - he had a weekly storytime at the library with Ms. Sue, this was his end of storytime celebration.

Dylan and Brooks love to read together in Dylan's bed at night...it is pretty cute. Brooks just stares at Dylan the whole time and Dylan explains everything to Brooks. Also, Dylan likes to "work from home" like Daddy.

We're home! More pics to share...
Brooks Ryder Beal was born at St. Joseph's hospital in Denver on March 13, 2011 at 5:30am. He weighed in at 7lbs 6oz and was 19.5 inches. We came home yesterday and Dylan is slowly realizing that he actually has a brother, and it's not just a baby he gets to visit in the hospital. Here are some quick pics from the first few days:
Mommy and Brooks

The official weigh-in (same length as Dylan, but about 5oz heavier!)

Enjoying some time with Aunt Frank! Tabby wasn't able to be here when Dylan was born as she and family were living in Hawaii at the time. It was a very special treat to have her share in the moment!

Brooks trying to sing a song to Nanna!

Papa and Brooks... Not sure what will come first: casting lessons or golf lessons. Either way, we can't wait!

Proud Daddy!

He loved getting his hair washed for the first time!

Proud parents :)

Big brother Dylan introduced to little Brooks for the first time. He likes to give kisses... for now!

We can't wait to see Dylan be a great big brother, and teach his little bro how to play guitar!

Nonna has been a huge help! She drove down from Windsor to stay with Dylan as Mommy and Daddy made a mad dash to the hospital early Sunday. She was able to come by with Dylan and meet the latest grandson!

Dylan perfecting the baby hold!

And.... another kiss!

It's funny how quickly the discharge process goes with kid #2. It seemed to take forever to get out of the hospital with Dylan. This time around, it was a quick "congratulations" and "there's the door"... we were happy to be able to head home early!

Finally at home with the family, time for a bedtime story...

Thank you all for the positive thoughts and well-wishes. We are slowly getting settled and acclimating to life with 2 kids (and a dog). We're looking forward to the ride!

Nursery and Baby Beal #2
I have been obsessed with owls since I had Dylan and really wanted to put some in this nursery. So I made this mobile. It turned out way better than my expectations, and I think I may have impressed Layne a little bit.

A quick belly shot while D is on the potty. I think this was around 34 weeks. I think the bump in the back is bigger than the bump in the front but whatever. I learned with Dylan that I get pretty voluptuous during pregnancy.

Well, I hope you get a post in March. It is an odd month which means that Layne is supposed to do it...maybe the arrival of the baby will get him in the spirit. Due date is St. Patty's Day...but really I am over being pregnant so I would be happy whenever it decides to come. I have a weird feeling that it is going to be a little late and that it is a boy. Time will tell. We will keep you posted...hopefully!
