Halloween Playgroup

Despite ALL of the snow (17" in the backyard) we had to get out of the house!
Dylan and Ava playing together.

Dylan boy and Dylan girl, they were giving each other loves and my camera wasn't quick enough.

Dylan, Asher and Sophia (after digging out the car we didn't have time to put D in costume...bad mom). But we will post his costume after Halloween.

Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins, we carved a butternut squash this year and it turned out well. The butternut squash was Cooper.

These are the products of our pumpkin patch visit. Below is Mom and Cooper.
Below is Dad and Dylan

Haircut

Sorry for the reverse progression, this is D after his first haircut!

This is how he felt by the end...

This is why he needed one...

This is how it started, he enjoyed for about a minute...

Dylan is 1...he partied like a rock star!

We all had a grand time during Dylan's celebration weekend. We appreciate all of the family that flew/drove in for the occasion. We are so blessed to have a healthy son that amazes us every day. Thank you to all of our friends and family for loving little Dylan so much! Below is the Marlboro man!
The proud parents!

The wonderful cake (the kids got to the owls wings before we could snap the picture).

It took about 60 seconds for D to taste the cake. Then he ate for a couple minutes and told us he was done.

Couldn't resist this picture of both of my kids licking their fingers!

Sporting his camo birthday shirt!

Already wanting to play with his toys...he has so many now that he doesn't even know where to start!

P.S. - Thanks to Uncle Brandon for these pictures!

Celebrating a successful 51st week... and looking forward to the 52nd!

It's been a while, but Dylan decided to stop by and say hello...

Pssssssst..... down here

Ahhh... that's better.

You talkin' to me? No really, are you talkin to me?.... (if so, I might just talk back)

Bath time, and showing off the glutes (and quads)... nice!

Love you all and can't wait to see you soon (oh, and check out the teeth)!!

Crawl Baby Crawl

Well D has turned into "not such a baby" right before our very eyes. This video was taken last week and he is much faster now. He also popped his first tooth on August 9th. And today we noticed that tooth number 2 is starting to peek out. He is being a trooper but we can tell that these tiny bottom teeth are causing some discomfort. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer.

Bookworm

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Dylan really likes books and he likes to sit in front of his bookcase and pull books out to "read". This time he happened to be doing it without a diaper so I had to take a picture. Baby butt crack!

Adventurous Eater!

The kid will eat anything you put in front of him. Last night he had swiss chard and ricotta raviolis that I made with chard from our garden. He loves fish, tuna, squash, rice, tomatoes, meatballs, avocado, plums, peaches, grapes, pears, and he loves curry chicken! Anyhow, here are some pics of Dylan eating in his chair (which he also loves)

Steamboat with family!

We took a trip to Steamboat with Tabby, Alianna, and Arwyn. Layne joined us on Saturday after the Vail/Eagle River Ride that he does every year. We hiked up fishcreek falls, had brunch on the mountain, went to the hot springs and farmers market, and visited The Steamboat Smokehouse (our favorite)!

We found a great deal on winter hats! Dylan is sporting it a little early.

Dylan is officially crawling!

This is to inform all of you followers out there that our little man is "army crawling" however he only likes to do it when the video is not on him. When we get actual proof of it, we will be sure to post it here. In the meantime, we are realizing how quickly he can show us what needs to be babyproofed!

More from Ouray!

Nonna and all her boys!

Dylan is very curious as to what kind of self tanner Jude uses. We are trying to explain to Dylan that it is one of the perks of your parents owning a skin care business. He just doesn't understand!

Sweet Jude taking a nap at the parade, prior to him and his Mom getting soaked by one of the floats.

Dylan had a great time! We are thinking of making this a tradition. Ouray felt like a little piece of nostalgia, a place where kids would love to celebrate our independence.

4th of July in Ouray....Hooray!

Two weeks after we got home from Telluride we did the trek again but our destination was Ouray. We had a Rossi family reunion, were in a parade, watched the fireworks, and were able to spend time with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Talia, Jaden, Jude, and Nonna. We hope everyone had a great 4th!

Dylan and Jude after the parade, getting to know each other.

Jaden and Nonna marching in the parade.

Dylan and Dad in the parade.

Yes, Jude does exist and we took plenty of pics so if you want me to send them to you I will.
Poor Jude...Aunt Genia and Uncle Layne know what it is like to be the 2nd child.

Jaden conquering the stairs.

Peek a boo is still a fun game for Dylan but he really likes
to play "so big"!

Telluride... Mountains, Friends, and Bluegrass!

After camping out and spending a night in Redstone, we arrived in Telluride for a long weekend of fun with friends. This is technically Dylan's first Bluegrass festival, but he was grooving in his momma's belly last year.

We took advantage of the nice weather and hiked with Dylan up Bear Creek to see the beautiful San Juans.

Happy Boy!

Happy Family!

Hanging out with Mom, getting ready for the festival.

But first, some quality couch time!

As the gates open, it's time for the "tarp run". This is one of the more entertaining parts of the festival... with the bagpipes warming up the runners, the gates open and the line dashes through to a blaring banjo... all to stake your territorial claim for the day. There are some pretty entertaining videos on youtube for those who want to see the real thing.

The competition ahead:

Dylan getting ready to dash...

When all was said and done, we did pretty well with our sunshade and tarp.

Gabe and Dylan dancing to some Yonder... I think this was the highlight for both!

We celebrated Father's Day with a gondola ride and some more music.

When he wasn't strapped to dancing friends, Dylan was entertaining the group in his mushroom chair.

And then it was over... What, no more festival?

Don't worry, buddy. We'll be back next year!

And now for some videos:
